Mam had a 10K road race so we spent the night in Khao Yai
First stop was for lunch at The Old Friends by Lake and Cottages restaurant
It's a cozy little place with good food and an extensive menu.
Mam had to see a client in Khao Yai so she dropped me at Please Don’t Tell Cafe and Safehouse. Absolutely jammed when I got there with selfies being the main activity.
They have a decent pile of books so you can pretend to read while taking your selfie.
The race started at Kensington English Garden Resort, so we spent the night there. Nice hotel with extensive English gardens and a Catholic church.
Our room had a nice view of the gardens.
Hotel lobby and restaurant.
Still Christmas in Khao Yai
The Church has regular Sunday services and is available for weddings.
The garden next to the Church was still decorated for Christmas.
In the evening beer and simple food items were available so one could enjoy the lights.
After dinner we went to the King George bar.
Mam had wine, I had a London Porter and we shared a brownie.
Race day
10.5K in just under 70 minutes. Great time over a hilly course.
Lake view from the restaurant.
