The beautiful tree is a Pacific Almond. A great beach tree that provides plenty of shade and doesn't drop much junk.

Entry in to what I think is a pre-WWII Thai/Chinese home probably made of plastered brick on the ground floor and wood on the upper floor. Above the door is the owner's name written in Thai and Chinese:

This causeway spans most of the bay. In Thai it is called สะพานชลมารควิถี or Cholmarkwithi Bridge

Chonburi and Cha Am - September 2022

 A Mostly Work Trip to Chonburi and Cha Am

Mam had work in Chonburi and Petchaburi so we spent one night at Jomtien Beach and three nights at the condo in Cha Am

First stop was in Sung Noon where we marveled at the elevated high speed rail under construction.

Long Bicycle Ride to Kai Lone and Lap Lae Caves

This limestone outcrop can be seen from our condo on a clear day. It's 40K away.

Base of the steps up to Kai Lone Cave. My Apple Watch said it was equivalent to 13 flights of stairs. It felt lime more. My heart rate was 180 when I got to the top.

Next cave, about two kilometers away, is Lap Lae. Thankfully, the stairs were much shorter.

This cave complex seems to be massive. Parts near the entrance have electric lighting.

There are many bats

There are many large chambers and passageways; some large and some tiny. Not wanting to get lost, I stuck to the lighted areas.

On the way back: Caution - Hit A Wild BoarI didn't see any

This is a research biodiesel refinery. They sell their product at the attached filling station.
