Bangkok

Just a little trip to Bangkok to see the Opthamologist, renew Mam's law license and finish up Mam's visa for Australia.

The photos below are from a walk I took mainly along an elevated pedestrian/cycle path that runs from the Thai Tobacco Monopoly (about Soi 10), through the Soi Polo community and on to Lumphini Park

Graffiti on Soi 4

Took me a while to find a way up to the walkway

Looking north along a disused railway track next to the Chalerm Mahakon Expressway

Two young students sharing a beer before class. I had come down the stairs on which they sit and saw them pour from a bottle of Beer Chang into the plastic cup.

As far as I know, the only shade on the pathway.

The Soi Polo community has many old homes with lots of narrow, winding streets.

Mosque Indonesia - Much of this community is Moslem

Looking toward Silom and Sathorn

The pathway is built over a canal

Corn husks drying in the morning sun.

The pathway ends on Wireless Road at the northeast corner of Lumphini Park. This is looking north on Wireless. US Embassy up on the right.
